Dr Catarina Ang
Dr Catrina Ang graduated from Monash University, and completed basic training at Southern Health. She travelled overseas to train in Advanced Laparoscopic Surgery after being awarded national scholarships. She took the post of Clinical Research Fellow at J.R. Hospital at Oxford followed by a fellowship at the renowned laparoscopic centre in Clermont Ferrand, France.
Catarina is continually committed to extending her knowledge. She has a Masters in Reproductive Medicine, a Diploma in Epidemiology and Surgical Education and more recently, a Masters in Business Administration.
Catarina is Director of the AGES endoscopic program at The Royal Women's Hospital, teaches in the public health system and at both Melbourne and Monash Universities. She also directs clinical research within her unit at The Women's and is the principle doctor at Migynae, her extensive private practice, specialising in minimally invasive Gynaecology and Endometriosis care.
Her areas of special interest are endometriosis, infertility, complex fibroid
disease and pelvic pain.
